Good morning! Some of you may remember that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I’m turning 30 soon. I’m still trying to decide if I’m more excited or scared about it, but have decided to celebrate regardless of how I feel! And part of those celebrations will include my second giveaway 🙂
The winner will receive these goodies…
1 flower brooch
2 egg cosies
4 fabric napkin rings
5 fabric covered buttons
6 books and buttons pegs
12 crocheted flags of bunting
And hopefully (if I’ve added correctly!) this adds up to 30! Let’s have a closer look at some of those things.
First of all, the flower brooch – 5 layers of fabric with a cluster of beautiful buttons in the middle.
The 2 blue egg cosies will comfortably fit over both an egg and egg cup.
The front of the fabric napkin rings…
… and the back.
Five fabric covered buttons.
6 books and buttons pegs (see the post about them here).
And last but not least, 12 mini flags of crocheted bunting. Each flag is approx 1.5 inches wide and long, and the whole string measures 32 inches from end to end.
Each end has a loop and a cute little button (you could even wear it as a necklace if you felt like it!)
So there you go, a lovely little bundle of goodies all handmade by me 🙂 If you would like a chance to win all you have to do is leave a comment at the bottom of this post telling me what you love most about your birthday, or if you have any special birthday traditions.
I will put all the names into my high tec hat and will draw one at random on 12th May, so you have a whole month to enter. I look forward to hearing from you!
What I love about my birthday is I’ve never been to school or work on my birthday, I always take it off. When I was younger my mum would get me in some films I wanted to watch, all my favorite foods and chocolates and I would spend the day having a me day, I hope you have a fantastic birthday! you also have a fantastic giveaway!
If there is a birthday in our house there are 4 important traditions that seem to have evolved without us realising. The Happy Birthday banner has to be put up. The living room has to be filled with balloons when you get up in the morning. The boys have to decorate the birthday cake and one of the presents has to be a box of Lindor chocolates (nom!). No doubt these will continue to change and evolve as the years go on. I can’t see the boys wanting a room full of balloons when they are 18!!
because my birthday is december it always symbolises the start of my christmas holidays, hoorah! and i normally make my way home and have a scrumptious takeaway with the family, keeping cosy in the warm inddors. 🙂 *my fingers are crossed tightly i really want to win!! **and my toes
When I was young, my parents used to let me have my birthday off school, which I adored. Nothing like telling a kid they don’t have to go to school on a bright almost-summer morning!
These days, the thing I like most about my birthday is going out to dinner with my friends. We try to go somewhere new and nice each year, and so I’ve had the chance to try out some really interesting restaurants. This year the plan is to eat at a Chinese restaurant that I’ve had my eye on for some time; I’m really looking forward to it!
What I like most about my birthday is it really is the only day of the year that I do a little selfish indulgence…do what I want to do and not what the rest of the fam wants. My fam makes me feel special. Everybody deserves at least one day like that. And also there is CAKE! Thanks for the giveaway and Happy Birthday! ♥
Oooooohhhh….hypnosis by buttons……….drooooll…..I-want-want-want-to-win!!! ;);) <3<3
Whilst I completely LOVE ❤ your fabric buttons, (you're so very clever), I do really like those oval ones on your napkin rings 🙂 Where did you get them please? 😉
I've never been a one for bothering with my own birthday, but other peoples!! Now thAt I love to go OTT with! Specially thought out gifts to suit them just right, little extra wee parcels with fun stuff, a helium balloon, (or 30 😉 ), maybe chocolates if appropriate, flowers, cake of course & candles, banners & badges! Ooh what fun! 🙂
I hope yours is full of love, laughter, happiness and filled to the brimful of superb memories 🙂
xx
I’d love to be able to tell you where the oval buttons came from, but I’m afraid I can’t remember! I think they were part of a pack that I’ve had for years – I’ll see if I can find any similar ones and let you know!
Excellent 🙂 Thanks 🙂 x
In case you didn’t know the link to Coriandr at the bottom of here doesn’t work 😦
I didn’t know – I’ll see if I can get it to work! Thanks 🙂
I’ve added a link on the side bar, just above my blog list – hope that one works for you! 🙂
By george I thinks she’s got it! 😉
Hehe, that means it works 😉
Oooh what I love most about my birthday is that its MY day. I choose what I want to do and everyone else has to go along with it. Ususally, my day means I don’t have to do ANY housework/chores – husband must do it all instead (or I end up doing it the next day) My birthday is exactly two months away today so the wishlist has gone out to everyone that usually buys me presents 🙂
I love being able to pick the movie I want to see, have dinner somewhere I want. The very worst part is that I have to wait until after the movie, after dinner and then after desert to get my presents. I guess thats okay cause we save the best part for last!
I always have my birthday off work, have a lovely lie-in and then do a day trip somewhere whatever the weather! This year was my wonderful trip to Edinburgh.
Everything in this post looks soooo pretty 🙂
A very happy 30th Birthday to you when it comes – hope you have a lovely day whatever you do! 🙂
What I like most about my birthday is being able to choose whatever I want to do no matter how extravagant! Unfortunately I rarely ever do anything for it, I don’t worry much about my birthday, more so everyone else’s!
The tradition is that on or around my birthday, my grandmother and I share a garden party birthday (her birthday is 3days after mine and mine is July 29th, so it’s always hot!)
Everyone in the family gets a birthday party dinner/cake at Grandma’s for their day, the grandparents all the way down to great grandchildren!
Thanks for the chance to win this lovely prize!
Happy Birthday!
We have a tradition at our house for the kids birthdays. We have a treasure hunt where they get clues and have to go search the house for the next clue and all the gifts.
Thanks for sharing all of these wonderful goodies with one of us. Good Luck everyone.
Hi have a lovely birthday, I am now 41 and my birthday falls in the October half term, normally, my 41st birthday was a little over shadowed, as you know, from reading my blog, it was improved enormously by a surprise visit from my cousin who drove for a couple of hours from Portsmouth (my husband and she planned it). We had a lovely lunch at the Ridgeway at Smallridge, dinner out somewhere is always an important part of birthday celebrations in our household.
What a gorgeous giveaway, have a wonderful birthday. My birthday and my youngest daughter’s birthday are a couple of days apart in July so we like to go on our holidays so we can spend it on the beach. Deb xxx

How generous! As my birthday is in August I’m usually off work so I can spend the day with my family and friends. Also the weather is usually good enough to spend the day outside.
I love all those button goodies ~ buttons are one of my very favourite things. I always try and take the day off work to celebrate my birthday and get to eat and drink all my favourite things ~ and there MUST be cake too :O)xx
Happy Birthday!!! I wish you all the best and only the best. Those pastel colors are so delicate and beautiful and the the egg cosies and napkin rings and each one is an original, great work.
Birthday traditions for myself?? I don’t have any, I just try to have a peaceful happy day.
what another great giveaway,I fancy making bunting when i’ve got some spare time, and many happy returns for your 30th, usually for my birthday, i like to be away in our caravan somewhere, but had to work this year, however all my family came over and we had a great time
These are all just gorgeous cute!! Love your stuff (as ever).
My 30th was a good’un, although I was fireman-lifted out of the pub by one of the barmen at the end of the night :S
I love my Little People’s birthdays now most of all – all the excitement I had for my own birthdays now goes into theirs. It’s making our home look all festive and birthday-like, making presents and cakes for them and seeing their faces on the day.
What a fun idea. You are amazingly creative. I love all your stuff. What I like about my birthday is that I let myself have a whole day of doing just what I want as far as possible. As to birthday traditions: when my children were at home, on someone’s birthday, they were let off the washingup! Not sure if that always applied to me. Now it’s a bit tricky, as I live on my own and I am never sure whether to invite some/all of my children for a meal and have to work hard cooking or just to chill on my own. But with the help of my eldest we put together a ten course meal for my 50th. I am rather older than that now.

You are so creative! Amazing!
Birthdays normally have to feature ice cream somewhere! Just as well mine is in August!
Like the Queen I usually have my birthday and an ‘official’ one. For the past few years we have been away in Scotland on holiday when it’s my actual birthday, I’d take my cards with me and my Mum would give me a little gift to open on my birthday. The next weekend my mum and dad and my sister and her husband would come round for my birthday dinner and I’d open my presents from them then.
My best birthday was my 20th birthday…. for my brothers had come home from London and my family together with all my closest cousins from all over the world had organized a surprise birthday party for me at home…. I had 20 different cakes!!!
It was indeed a surprise for we never celebrate birthdays in my family…it was the best birthday ever.
Usha
Hi there, this is an amazing giveaway, full of all your very impressive creativeness! I was born on May 19th, we live in Washington and for my 5th Birthday we were having a party at McDonalds, there preparing for it and all the sudden it gets WAY dark and snows, well needless to say it was ash. From that day forward and still today we are NOT allowed to celebrate my birthday before/after my birthday, only on the 19th, and I always have to have a pralines and cream ice cream cake from baskin and robins 🙂
What I love most about my birthday is the day being about me. Being a Mom I am always doing something for someone else, and on that one day every year June 26th, I can plan something purely for me!
So happy Birthday and make it about you 🙂
